Raising the Bar on Cyber Security
Updated: Nov 25, 2021

Living as a woman in a predominantly male dominated society can be a bit scary at times. Especially when most of todays technology is controlled by males known as the “Big Tech Giants” Huge internet moguls that we have now given access to all of our personal information, photos, messages, passwords m, & even bank account information. These men & other powerful billionaires will stop at nothing to make sure they stay in power. Even if that means exploiting & abusing woman. Women have already had to fight through an oppressive society to gain our rights & freedom to vote in a time where men & violence dominated. We cannot let these men who now have access to all of our private information continue to oppress us & force us to be subservient to them by threatening us, or by depriving us of life & liberty. By first acknowledging that there is a huge ethical problem when it comes to how much access & power these internet monopolies have over our private lives, we can begin to target their origins & begin to take measures to regulate & eradicate this corruption. The US National Security team have been pursuing efforts to relieve Americans of cyber hacking, harassment, fraud, & targeting. Our country’s Cybersecurity is something extremely important that we should focus on because we are now seeing a new cyber threat which are government sponsored hackers that are targeting key US infrastructures. These cyber criminals are targeting transportation, health care resources, & federal agencies. These government & private sector sponsored projects are said to now be using “ransomware” which is a form of malware used to encrypt files on a device. These ransomware attacks are said to mainly be used to disrupt business operations & to intimidate victim organizations. These malicious hackers are also known to demand ransom for their decryption. Corrupt powerful entities meticulously plan & use these new methods of cyber attacks to “achieve their malevolent strategic objectives,” which can be critically damaging to our society & to our communities. We must prioritize protecting our online privacy & expose cyber security abuse that these government actors continue to get away with.
